Have you played Batman Arkham City? LolI haven't, i don't like batman and comics superhero in general Well yeah kinda, i mean i haven't ever came across a fighting game as fun as yakuza yet. A game called Bully comes to mind.Īre you looking specifically for brawling / fighting type of gameplay?I have bully on steam i think but it was a pain to play keyboard and mouse if i remember well. Might just wanna mess around with games by Rockstar as they're mostly open world. There's quite a lot of open world games but none of them have the brawling gameplay and minigames Yakuza and Shenmue do.Yeah i was looking for a dreamcast emulator but i stopped since they're doing remake. Rumor is there's going to be a remake of the first two games. Like someone already mentioned Shenmue is a lot like Yakuza but you want wanna wait on playing it. Thanks a lot, i had planned to play shenmue for forever so i guess i'm gonna do it now,Ībout way of the samurai you think the 4 is the best to start ? i was told it's the 3 ?Īnd the warriors doesn't look like my type of thing, i loved the fighting in yakuza but i love the story with it.Īnything else ? Cool fighting, open world, cool character, nice story ? It's a fun beat em up with a stellar narrative in combination.
#YAKUZA VS SLEEPING DOGS MOVIE#
If you ended up enjoying the brawling aspect most of Yakuza I reccomend The Warriors for the Ps2, it's an obscure title of rockstar which was based on a movie from the 70's.
It's even weirder then Yakuza in many aspects when it comes to the side quests. I reccomend Way of the Samurai 4 for first timers, the graphics are really bad, but it's a fun game with a bunch of side activities. All the choices you make influence how the people see you as. Way of the Samurai is a franchise that I also reccomend, you're a nameless samurai whom approaches a village, the narrative is quite impressive. It's a revenge story but eventually develops in something way more as you progress through Shenmue 2 it's all perfect and I can't wait until Shenmue 3. The characters, the story, the sense of adventure. I'm sure you'll like Shenmue for what it is, Shenmue 2 is my favorite game of all time. Shenmue 1 and 2 would be perfect for you, although it focusses more on the adventure and exploring element rather then the all out brawls left and right in Yakuza.
